Art Gallery: THE ARTS Faculty Exhibition

Collin College professors are stepping out from behind the podium to showcase their artwork at THE ARTS Faculty group exhibition from Wednesday, Aug. 23- Wednesday, Sept. 20 at Collin College's THE ARTS Gallery, room A175, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

Free and open to the public, the exhibit features diverse media and style which reflect the varied professors' talents. This unique exhibit offers students and the public opportunities to view works that could be created in various classes including 2-D design, 3-D design, ceramics, communication design, digital arts, drawing, figure drawing, jewelry/art metals, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and watercolor.

The political science faculty will be your guides for a journey to understand America’s constitutional system. Join them by participating in activities geared toward understanding each of the three branches of government and public policy. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to test your knowledge, learn fun constitutional facts and win prizes! Refreshments and Pocket Constitutions will be available to all participants.

The Collin College Auteur Film Series presents The Motorcycle Diaries on Tues., Sept. 19, 2017, from 7-10 p.m. in the Spring Creek Campus Living Legends Conference Center. In the film, a young medical student travels across South America, works with lepers in Peru, and discovers his true vocation. Based on the journals of Che Guevera. Presented in conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month.
