Art Gallery: Proof
Byrd Williams is a fourth generation photographer, Williams is best known for his urban work in the US and Europe. He produces extremely detailed photographs, usually as triptychs, using a very large format view camera. 
  
Williams has been teaching photography for 26 years in the photography/graphic design department at Collin College. Williams is a published writer and international artist whose work has been shown and collected at the Amon Carter Museum, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and the Stadt Museum of Trier Germany as well as many publications and collections throughout the US and Europe. For the year 1997, Byrd was selected as an artist in residence in Bad EMS, Germany and lived at Wagner's Castle the "Schloss Balmoral".  His work on the civic use of German, French, Belgian, English and Dutch street corners was featured on television and exhibited in several West German cities in 1997 and 2007.

Rock the Vote at CPC!

Get registered to vote!

Our certified registrars and community partners, the League of Women Voters (LWV) will be out, helping to facilitate all new voter registrations.  Popcorn will be available, and there will be FREE t-shirts for those who register to vote.  The event will take place on the Central Park Campus in the Atrium.

Come on out and make sure that your voice is able to be heard!

5th Annual Celebration of the Freedom to Read: Banned Books Week Event

Learn a little bit about the history of censorship and book banning while Collin College faculty, staff, and students share excerpts from some of their favorite banned or controversial works.  Participate in our trivia competition and earn prizes!  If you would like to participate by reading at this event, or if you would like more information, please contact Dr. Diana C.
